Shaun and Louise

It was such a pleasure officiating Louise and Shaun's wedding ceremony at the beautiful Sanctuary Lake. Louise reached out to me in October last year, and over the months, we had the opportunity not only to prepare every detail of the ceremony but also to really get to know the couple. Their love story, much like many of ours, began with a touch of fate, a sprinkle of technology, and a whole lot of heart.

Louise and Shaun's journey started in late 2021 when they met through online dating. They chatted on and off for a few months, completely unaware that destiny had a delightful surprise in store for them. One day, as Louise walked into Palmerston Tavern to purchase Christmas lunch tickets, she bumped into Shaun, who happened to work there. That first in-person encounter sparked an undeniable connection, leading to their first date at Flynns. Despite the nerves and the brevity, it was a success, marking the beginning of their beautiful relationship.

Shaun deeply appreciates Louise’s kind nature, her ability to light up any room with her singing, and the unwavering love she gives to her son, Emmett. On the other hand, Louise adores how Shaun can make her laugh in any situation, how he supports her ambitious plans, and how he has effortlessly stepped into the role of being a dad to Emmett.

Your love story is a testament to the fact that love isn't always about grand gestures; it thrives in the everyday moments and the simple joys you share. As you journey through life together, you will cherish each other, share countless laughs, and embrace the adventure of parenthood. You will grow older and wiser together, and your story will continue to unfold beautifully, with no end in sight.

During the ceremony, unlike many others, Louise and Shaun chose not to read out their vows publicly. Instead, they opted for a private vow exchange ceremony, which was beautifully intimate. They also included a special Family Vow Ceremony, where their little man, Emmett, actively participated. With Emmett included, this little family became stronger than ever. They made vows to love, care for, and support each other, sealing it with a kiss on Emmett's cheek. It was such a touching and beautiful moment!

Louise and Shaun also took a moment during the ceremony to acknowledge the presence of their family members who traveled great distances to be there, to witness and celebrate their love. There’s a beautiful saying that comes to mind: "Anything is possible when you have the right people to support you, whether that be family, friends, or simply each other."

Once again, thank you so much, Louise and Shaun, for trusting me to be your marriage celebrant. It was truly an honor to be a part of your marriage journey. I wish you both a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and endless laughter.
